"Mu Goes Boo-Hoo"

Films: Atragon (1963), Destroy All Monsters (1968), All Monsters Attack (1969)

Alias: None

Type: Ancient, though possibly Mystical, too

Location: Ocean/Jungle/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: 150 meters from head to tail and 30,000 metric tons.

Affiliation: Neutral, leaning on Good later on

Summary: It's amazing Toho went this far without feeling the need to include dragons in their kaiju universe. But here we are now, and the only real dragon is a bit player.

History: Manda was once worshipped by the residents of the undersea kingdom of Mu. The people there were hoping to take over Earth a second time, and their emissary was the great dragon. However, the triphibian submarine known as the Atragon intervened, and froze the beast before destroying the tyrannical kingdom. Somehow, Manda came back looking very different, living on Monster Island before the Kilaaks invaded.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Manda didn't do much during the fight with Ghidorah once she was free from Kilaak control, but she and all the other Earth kaiju still live peacefully on the island.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Something of greater or equal strength, like the Atragon.

Scariness Factor: 3-Manda hasn’t accomplished much, but she's a sight for those afraid of snakes, particularly her second look. Still a bit of a wimp compared to most kaiju.

Trivia: -Manda's name most likely is a combination of the Japanese words "man" and "Daija". Together, her name basically means "Ten Thousand Serpent".

-For those wondering how well she'd do against Godzilla, there's a deleted scene in "Destroy All Monsters" featuring just that. It's not much, though.

Behold, the legend (no, not Manda).

"Gentlemen. I think we look a tad ridiculous."

Never imagined she'd look like a dude in her hayday.

Featuring the All-Star cast!

That freeze ray f'ed her up bad.
Who names their kingdom Mu?!

That smile doesn't bode well.

Atragon: Worship it. Praise it!

Machine or goddess? Who is more magnificent?!

What HAPPENED to you guys?!
No, an octopus isn't the main threat. It's something far greater and sexier.

Kinda harsh for a few minutes of screentime.

Damage Control Groups...I've got some bad news.
